Operating the Control Panel You can control the basic operations-form feed, paper loading and ejecting, and font selection-with the buttons on the control panel. The indicator lights help you monitor the printer's status. lndicator lights The control panel lights provide information on certain printer conditions and settings. READY The READY light is on when the printer is ready to receive data from the computer. The READY light flashes under these conditions: When you turn on the printer When the printer runs out of paper When the printer enters the tear-off mode (with the optional push tractor only) The print head is overheated.
