Overview Navigation Flight Planning Hazard Avoidance Additional Features System Status No Traffic Data Available Hazard Avoidance Traffic Icon Traffic Modes Some weather/traffic devices also have a pressure altitude sensor to aid in displaying the relative altitude of received traffic information. If the weather/traffic device is used onboard a pressurized aircraft, the pressure altitude sensor should be turned off. Configuring a weather/traffic device for a pressurized or nonpressurized aircraft: 1) From the Main Menu, touch Tools > Data Link 2) Touch Menu > Set Up Data Link. 3) Touch the 'Aircraft Type' Pressurized button to toggle pressurized aircraft on/off. TRAFFIC DESCRIPTION ADS-B traffic operation is similar to TIS-A discussed previously, but ADS-B adds additional symbology and capabilities. The symbols used to display ADS-B traffic are shown in the table below. The traffic label and altitude are displayed below the traffic symbol. A small up or down arrow next to the traffic symbol indicates that the traffic is climbing or descending at a rate of at least 500 feet per minute. The vector line that extends from the traffic symbol is just further indication of the intruder aircraft track. For directional traffic symbols, the arrow head points in the direction of aircraft's ground track. Appendices Index 190-02017-20 Rev. A Garmin aera 660 Pilot's Guide 105
