Overview Appendix D 4) Touch 'GTX TIS-A In' or 'GTX TIS-A In/NMEA & VHF Out'. The TIS-A Status field indicates one of the following messages: • Waiting For Data-searching for a valid TIS-A data stream. • Data Available-receiving TIS-A data from the transponder. • Data Unavailable-connection to transponder established, but TIS-A service is unavailable. • Lost Connection-an error occurred or the connection to the transponder was lost. Navigation Additional Features Hazard Avoidance Flight Planning Appendices aera Aviation Bare Wire Connections CONNECTING TO A GDL 39/GDL 39R To receive weather and traffic information from the GDL 39/GDL 39R, the GDL 39/ GDL 39R must be connected to the aera using the 'GDL 39/GDL 39R Power/Data Cable to Aera 660 Series (P/N 010-12373-02) or through a GDL 39/GDL 39R bare wire cable (P/N 010-11686-40) installation. The aera must also be configured correctly to receive traffic and weather information from the GDL 39/GDL 39R as described below. Configuring aera for GDL 39/GDL 39R: 1) Connect the aera to the GDL 39/GDL 39R through the Power/Data Cable or bare wire cable.
