Replacing a fan 7 Insert the new fan into the opening left by the old fan, then engage the fan retention tabs and fan release tab with the chassis until it snaps into place. 8 Plug the fan cable into the fan connector on the system board. 9 Replace the processor air duct by following the instructions in "Installing the processor air duct" on page 34. 10 Follow the instructions in "Closing the server case" on page 37.
