Closed defect summary Solution 48K ASSERT (ASSERT - Failed expression: ent) and panic when reboot is done on both CPs following FWDL to 6.3.0_main_bld35. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 Workaround prior to upgrade: Reboot CPs one at a time. TI zones become disabled when Telnet times out following TI zone change. Cfgsave actually pushes the data, but should not do so, as due to session timeout, stale transaction is not properly terminated before processing new TI zone, which can result in erroneous TI zone properties list and lead to other fabric wide instability events. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 VERIFY error message seen during repeated blade disable-enable tests Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 followed by HA failover. Kernel panic observed in standby (new active) CP in edge DC04 SAN Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 director when nameserver daemon terminated in active CP. Port Fencing - Cable pull/insert may fence Ex-ports via ITW's. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 Workaround prior to upgrade: Re-enable EX_Port if it gets fenced. DC04 SAN director, DC SAN Backbone director, and 4/256 directorAfter changing domain offset followed by 'hafailover'-"Unknown LSR type" messages started scrolling continuously on console log. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 Workaround prior to upgrade: hafailover to other CP. VE-port/FWconfigure Packet Loss may not generate correct values for Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 VE ports on 400 multiprotocol router or multiprotocol router blade. Excessive internal messages cause a RASLOG flood condition and a weblinkerfcg message appears on FCIP switches in the fabric (HP StorageWorks 1606 Extension SAN Switch and Multiprotocol Extension Blade). This can lead to other important RASLOG messages being lost. This issue has no functional impact and occurs on platforms not running ipsd (IP Security Daemon). Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 After upgrading from Fabric OS 6.2.0g to 6.3.0, LDAP certificates are missing and you may not be able to log in to the switch using LDAP authentication. The degree to which the user is locked out depends on how the LDAP environment was set up. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 Workaround prior to upgrade: Log into serial console and reimport the ldap certificate(s). The degree to which the user will be locked out would depend on how the LDAP environment was setup. In VF mode, non-Disruptive firmware download on an HP StorageWorks 8/40 switch with more than 1MB zone DB across multiple logical switches, may cause disruption. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 Workaround prior to upgrade: In VF mode, limit the zone DB on 8/40 switch to less than 1MB. In a fabric with more than 50 switches, non-disruptive firmware downloads (HCL) on an HP StorageWorks DC SAN Director fails on the standby CP. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 Workaround prior to upgrade: Run firmwaredownload again. Internal timing failure within HA failover can bring a port down. Port Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0 will immediately be brought back online automatically at the end of the HA or firmware upgrade operation. HP StorageWorks Fabric OS 6.4.0c Release Notes 47
