Closed defect summary Solution With tape pipelining enabled, AIX host gets a connection timeout error after the first write with tape pipelining enabled. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0b. Workaround prior to upgrade: Disable tape pipelining. There is no way to recover device paths with FICON after CHPID cable pull without slotpoweroff/on of the Multiprotocol Extension Blade or a reboot of the 1606 Extension SAN Switch. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0b. Workaround prior to upgrade: Reboot the Extension SAN Switch or Multiprotocol Extension Blade. Tape devices are intermittently detected as offline by the host during backup. Seen in setup where some physical initiators do not register as FC4 type device and others do. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0b. Unable to disable default zone from Mi10k in IM2 mode after zone merge failure between Mi10k and Fabric OS switches. Table 12 Fabric OS 6.4.0c closed defects Closed defect summary Solution In a setup with 8Gb switches running exchanged base routing policy, routes are not being properly rebalanced after a trunk group loses a member, which could lead to sluggish performance on 8Gb switches if there is a slow drain device using the lower bandwidth link to further congest the fabric. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0c. Workaround prior to upgrade: Keep trunk groups with equal bandwidth. On 8Gb switches, constant link resets occur when a long distance E_Port is configured that requires 128 to 511 credits. These link resets occur continuously with no traffic; a constant stream of C2-5021 indications are seen. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0c. Workaround prior to upgrade: Use OOS mode. Switch panics, blade faults, or switches getting disabled when credit Fixed in Fabric OS 6.4.0c. loss is detected on internal backend port. RASLOG C-5021 or C2-5021 indications are reported.
