Paper Specifications The way you feed paper (through the tray or through the document feeder) dictates which kind of paper you can use. The following are the valid paper types for each method. Papers to Avoid These papers can cause a paper jam or adversely affect copy quality: 3 Paper heavier than 24 lb (90 g/m2) or lighter than 16 lb (60 g/m2) in the lower paper tray.
