Service mode functions Service menu The Service menu is PIN-protected for added security. Only authorized service people have access to the Service menu. When you select Service from the list of menus, the product prompts you to type an eight-digit personal identification number (PIN). The PIN for the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise CM4540 MFP Series is 11454010. NOTE: The product automatically exits the Service menu after about one minute if no items are selected or changed. 1. Scroll to and touch the Device Maintenance button. 2. Touch the Service button. 3. The drop-down menu shows the User Access Code list item. Select the Service Access Code list item, and then touch the Access Code text box. The touchscreen numeric keypad appears. 4. Type the PIN (xxxxxx). 5. Touch the OK button to save the PIN or the Cancel button to exit the screen. 6. The PIN displays in the Service use only: text box as ********. 7. Touch the OK button to open the Service menu or the Cancel button to exit the screen.
