On the Network folders page, click at the top of the page, and fill in the various fields: ● Display name: Name displayed in the front panel when you are choosing the file's scan destination/printing origin (depending of the functionality use). ● Network path: Should contain the network name of the remote computer and must start with // followed by the path. ● Protocol: SMB ● Functionality Use: Choose between Print only, Scan only, Print and Scan or None. ● Default Network destination: Enable this option to configure this folder as the default destination for files. ● Browse Network folder Structure: Enable to browse through the structure of folders. ● Authentication requirements: Enter the login username and password for the printer to access documents and images in the network folder. The username and password are stored and encrypted in the printer's memory. There are 3 options: - None: Use this setting for an unprotected folder on the network (no credentials required). - Automatic login using following credentials: Enter username and password only once during configuration and later use the folder in the front panel without entering credentials. - Prompt for credentials when needed: Enter username and password in the front panel every time you use it. NOTE: User password should contain the password of the user. Domain should contain the name of the domain in which the user name exists. If the user does not belong to any domain, leave this field empty. ● Security Pin Option: Create a 4-digit security PIN to prevent unauthorized people from accessing documents and images in this network folder. 26 Chapter 1 Introduction ENWW
