Overlapping zones are supported with disk and tape.
Separate or common HBAs for disk and tape connections are supported.
For a VLS, multiple heterogeneous initiators and multiple ports of the VLS device are supported in
the same fabric zone.

HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array 1000
The MSA1000 is available in four product configurations:
MSA1000 with optional embedded hub
MSA1000 storage systems with the MSA Hub 2/3. An MSA1000 using this hub cannot cascade
to any other interconnect; it is designed only for a two-node configuration. This configuration is
supported with 4 Gb HBAs.
MSA1000 standalone storage system
A 2 Gb Fibre Channel storage system for entry-level and mid-range SANs.
MSA1000 with optional embedded switch
MSA1000 storage systems with the MSA SAN Switch 2/8 are supported with B-series switches
only.
MSA1000 with Small Business SAN G2 kit
The HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array 1000 Small Business SAN G2 kit is a 2 Gb Fibre
Channel storage system designed to reduce the complexity and risk of an entry-level SAN. It
provides a low-cost, scalable, high-performance storage consolidation system with investment
protection.
The MSA1000 Small Business SAN is a standalone SAN configuration that is not supported for
connectivity to B-series, C-series, H-series, or M-series SAN fabrics.
