Product Description 1.6 Intel® G33 Express Chipset The Intel G33 Express chipset consists of the following devices: • Intel 82G33 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH) with Direct Media Interface (DMI) interconnect • Intel 82801IR I/O Controller Hub (ICH9R) The GMCH component provides interfaces to the CPU, memory, PCI Express, and the DMI interconnect. The component also provides integrated graphics capabilities supporting 3D, 2D, and display capabilities. The ICH9R is a centralized controller for the board's I/O paths. Either the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 (Intel GMA 3100) graphics controller (contained within the 82G33 GMCH) is used, or a PCI Express x16 add-in card can be used.
