NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 8.10. Adjusting the Parking Brake Cable 1. Loosen the hex nut and turn the adjuster barrel clockwise (tighten) or counterclockwise (loosen) to adjust the cable. Retighten hex nut. Brake Pads 1. Adjust the brake pad assembly so that when the parking brake is engaged the brake pads rest solely on the rim of the wheel. Replacing the Parking Brake Brake Pads 1. Adjusting the Parking Brake
Cable
1.
Loosen the hex nut and turn the adjuster barrel clockwise (tighten) or
counterclockwise (loosen) to adjust the cable. Retighten hex nut.
Brake Pads
1.
Adjust the brake pad assembly so that when the parking brake is engaged the brake
pads rest solely on the rim of the wheel.
