MEMO • The camera's white spot compensation function cannot compensate completely for all white spots. White spot detection and compensation by this camera must be performed under the following conditions. White spot compensation is not possible under other conditions. Even when these conditions are met, the properties of the white spots may prevent compensation. No. of detections and compensations: Within a total of 10 spots. • The screen shown on the right may appear if light enters the CCD while white spot detection is being performed, or due to the conditions of the white spots. In this case, confirm that light is not entering the CCD. If light is not entering the CCD but the screen nevertheless remain displayed, accelerate the shutter one step and perform the detection again. • When white spot compensation is carried out, the compensation of the pixel data is performed based on surrounding pixel data, which means that accurate data may not be obtained in case of an image with fine details. • The result of the white spot detection is retained until the next white spot detection is performed. E29
The camera’s white spot compensation function cannot compensate completely for all white spots.
White spot detection and compensation by this camera must be performed under the following con-
ditions. White spot compensation is not possible under other con-
ditions. Even when these conditions are met, the properties of the
white spots may prevent compensation.
No. of detections and compensations: Within a total of 10 spots.
The screen shown on the right may appear if light enters the CCD
while white spot detection is being performed, or due to the con-
ditions of the white spots. In this case, confirm that light is not
entering the CCD. If light is not entering the CCD but the screen
nevertheless remain displayed, accelerate the shutter one step
and perform the detection again.
When white spot compensation is carried out, the compensation
of the pixel data is performed based on surrounding pixel data,
which means that accurate data may not be obtained in case of
an image with fine details.
The result of the white spot detection is retained until the next white spot detection is performed.
