Normal playback Listening with headphones DUAL SOURCE VOLUME 5/∞ DUAL SOURCE INPUT VOLUME CONTROL PHONES "DUAL SRC" indicator DUAL SOURCE ON/OFF 1 Connect headphones to the PHONES jack. Adjusting the sound MULTI CONTROL %/fi/@/# ENTER VOLUME CONTROL RCV Mode Input Mode Sound Multi %/fi/@/# Enter Mute VOL Active EQ Receiver Operations 2 Use the VOLUME CONTROL knob (or the VOL +/- keys) to adjust the volume. Playing difference sources through speakers and headphones (DUAL SOURCE function) While you enjoy audio listening through the speakers, another person can enjoy another source (audio + video) through headphones by connecting the source to the GAME or FRONT AUX jacks. 1 Connect headphones to the PHONES jack. 2 Press the DUAL SOURCE ON/OFF key to switch the DUAL SOURCE function ON. ÷ When the DUAL SOURCE function is ON, the video and headphone outputs reproduce only the second input source of the DUAL SOURCE function. At this time, the audio from the main source, which is selected with the input selector, continues to be monitored through the speakers. Switching the DUAL SOURCE function OFF restores the main input source signals to the video and headphone outputs. Lights up 3 Press the DUAL SOURCE INPUT key to select the second input source for the DUAL SOURCE function. 1 "DUAL SOURCE GAME" : The "GAME" input is selected as the second input source for the DUAL SOURCE function. 2 "DUAL SOURCE F. AUX" : The "F. AUX" input is selected as the second input source for the DUAL SOURCE function. 4 Press the DUAL SOURCE VOLUME 5 / ∞ to adjust the headphone listening volume. ÷ When the DUAL SOURCE function is ON, the input mode for the second input source is fixed at "ANALOG". The listen mode cannot be changed. 9q Adjusting the TONE (PCM stereo and analog stereo mode only) 1 Press the RCV Mode key on the remote control unit to set it to the receiver control mode. 2 Press the Sound key. 3 Use the MULTI CONTROL @ / # (or the Multi @ / # keys) to select "TONE CONTROL", and press the ENTER (or the Enter key). 4 Use the MULTI CONTROL @ / # (or the Multi @ / # keys) to select "ON", and press the ENTER (or the Enter key). Lights up SOUND TONE CONTROL ON 5 Use the MULTI CONTROL @ / # (or the Multi @ / # keys) to select "BASS" or "TREBLE". 1 "BASS" : Select this to adjust the low frequency range. 2 "TREBLE" : Select this to adjust the high frequency range. 6 Use the MULTI CONTROL % / fi (or the Multi % / fi keys) to adjust the sound quality. SOUND TONE CONTROL TREBLE -2dB 7 Repeat steps 5 and 6 as required. ÷ The adjustment mode is displayed for approximately 20 seconds. ÷ The bass and treble levels are adjustable from -10dB to +10dB in 2 step increments. 8 Press the Sound key again to return to the input indication. 31 EN
