When the instrument is not in use, please cover the instrument with the supplied Dust Cover to prevent the entry of dust. • Be sure to keep all packing materials (cardboard box, cushioning material, plastic bags, etc.). They can be used to protect the instrument during storage or during transportation to the service facility for maintenance (recalibration, etc.). ❙❙Notes on Cleaning • If the FD-9 becomes dirty, wipe it with a soft, clean dry cloth. Never use solvents such as thinner or benzene. • If the internal White Calibration Plate becomes dirty, it can be cleaned according to the procedure on p. 30. • If the FD-9 breaks down, do not try to disassemble and repair it by yourself.
