Getting Started with Your Phone NOTE Your phone has a Voice Commands feature that also lets you make calls by phone number, name, or location. Correcting Dialing Mistakes Press once to erase the last digit entered, or hold it down for at least two seconds to delete all the digits. Redialing Calls 1. Press twice to redial the last number dialed. Receiving Calls 1. When the phone rings or vibrates, there are four ways of answering a call, depending on the phone setting: ● Flip Open/Send Key Only: Open the flip by default. ● Any Key: Press any key. ● Send Key Only: You can answer a call only by pressing . ● Auto with Handsfree: The call automatically connects when connected to a handsfree device. 18 VX8700 NOTE NOTE If you press Left Soft Key [Quiet] while the phone is ringing, the ringing or vibration is muted for that call. If you press Right Soft Key [Ignore] while the phone is ringing, the call will end. 2. Press to end the call. TIP During a call, use Speakephone Key or Voice Command Key to turn on speakerphone mode. Speakerphone function is only available while a call is in progress. Screen Icons When the phone is on, the top line of the LCD screen displays phone status icons. To see the icon glossary, go to MENU -> SETTINGS & TOOLS -> Phone Info -> Icon Glossary on your phone.
