Choose how the camera meters exposure. G Matrix (default setting) The camera sets exposure for the entire frame. Recommended in most situations. q Center-weighted The camera meters the entire frame but assigns greatest weight to the subject in the center of the frame. Classic meter for portraits; preserves background details while letting lighting conditions at the center of the frame determine exposure. Can be used with focus lock (A 46) to meter off-center subjects. B Note on Metering When using digital zoom, Metering is set to Center-weighted, and the metered area is not displayed in the monitor.
