4026-0XX Spot or Marks At Same Spot On Every Print Note: Do not expose the photoconductor to light any longer than necessary when you remove the photoconductor unit from the printer. FRU Action 1 Photoconduc- Remove the photoconductor unit assembly and tor Unit check the photoconductor for voids, spots, or Assembly damage. 2 Fuser Paper If black spots are observed approximately 70 Separators mm apart, check the fuser paper separators for toner buildup. Clean or replace as necessary. Blank Page FRU Action 1 Toner Car- Remove the toner cartridge and gently shake tridge the assembly to evenly distribute the toner. 2 Printhead Be sure the printhead actuator in the top cover actuates the printhead switch in the printhead assembly. 3 Printhead Blank pages can be caused by a defective print- Assembly head assembly or engine board. If the toner car- tridge is operating correctly, replace the printhead assembly. If this does not correct the problem, replace the engine board. All Black Page Note: Incorrect laser exposure or incorrect charging of the photoconductor causes an all black page. FRU Action 1 Right Side Check for a bent, broken, contaminated, or pit- Frame Termi- ted drum charge bias terminal or drum ground nals terminal located on the right side frame. Replace as necessary. conductor causes an all black page.

check the photoconductor for voids, spots, or
damage.

If black spots are observed approximately 70
mm apart, check the fuser paper separators for
toner buildup. Clean or replace as necessary.
