Entering Words In a text entry screen, you can press * to switch entry methods. An indicator tells you which method is active (see page 32). If iTAP method is not available as the Primary or Secondary entry method, see page 31. 1 Press a keypad key one or more times to show possible letter combinations at the bottom of the screen. 2 Scroll left or right to highlight the combination you want. 3 Press Select to lock a highlighted combination. (You can press keypad keys to add more letters to the end of the combination.) or Press * to enter the highlighted combination when it spells a word. 36 Learning to Use Your Phone A space is automatically inserted after the word. If you enter a word your phone does not recognize, the phone stores it to use as 1 of your word options. When you fill memory space for unrecognized words, your phone deletes the oldest words to add new words. Entering Words
