Menu Navigation Block program This television incorporates V-Chip technology to block the viewing of movies and television programs according to the rating category. There are four (4) Content Advisory Categories: MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), U.S.TV Program, Canadian English ratings and Canadian French ratings. These categories are used as guidelines for blocking programs. • The default mode for the Lock category is the Unlocked state. CH -VOL OK VOL+ CH Press to select "Program". Press to enter Program menu. Lock Mode CH Channel Program Change password CH -VOL OK VOL+ CH Press to select "MPAA", "U.S.TV", "C.E.L.R." or "C.F.L.R.". Press to enter Block program adjust screen. MPAA : for U.S movie ratings U.S.TV : for U.S TV program ratings C.E.L.R. : for Canadian English ratings C.F.L.R. : for Canadian French ratings Program lock MPAA U.S.TV C.E.L.R. C.F.L.R. Monitor out On CH -VOL OK VOL+ CH Press to highlight the desired rating level. CH -VOL OK VOL+ CH Press to select "Monitor out". Press to select "On" or "Off". Monitor out : On Turns on the monitor terminal output for programs that have been set to "Blocked." Off Turns off the monitor terminal output for programs that have been set to "Blocked." Notes: • The Off rating is independent of other ratings. • When placing a block on a specific age based rating level, the Off rating and any other more restrictive ratings will also be blocked. 36
