Section 5 Using Symbols Using Symbols Symbol mode enables you to insert symbols and punctuation marks into text. When you want to add a symbol while creating a message: 1. Press the Right soft key to change the text input mode. 2. Highlight the Symbol option and press the Select soft key or the key. 3. To select a symbol, press the corresponding number key. 4. To display more symbols, press the Up or Down Navigation key. 5. To clear the symbol(s), press the key. When the input field is empty, this key returns the display to the previous mode. 6. To insert the symbol(s) into your message, press the OK soft key or the key. You will be returned to your text message. Using Numbers Number mode enables you to enter numbers into a text message. Using Symbols
Symbol mode enables you to insert symbols and
punctuation marks into text.
When you want to add a symbol while creating a message:
1.
Press the Right soft key
to change the text input
mode.
2.
Highlight the
Symbol
option and press the
Select
soft
key or the
key.
3.
To select a symbol, press the corresponding number
key.
4.
To display more symbols, press the
Up
or
Down
Navigation key.
5.
To clear the symbol(s), press the
key. When the
input field is empty, this key returns the display to the
previous mode.
6.
To insert the symbol(s) into your message, press the
OK
soft key or the
key.
You will be returned to your text message.

Number mode enables you to enter numbers into a text
message. Press the keys corresponding to the digits you
