Tuner Operations Presetting FM/AM radio stations (Preset Memory) You can store up to 30 FM and 30 AM stations as your favorite stations. V/v/B/b, OPTIONS 1 Tune to the station that you want to preset using Auto Tuning (page 39) or Direct Tuning (page 40). 2 Select "Preset Memory", then press . 3 Select a preset number, then press . The station is stored as the selected preset number. 4 Repeat steps 1 to 3 to store another station. You can store station as follows: • AM band: AM 1 to AM 30 • FM band: FM 1 to FM 30 Tuning to preset stations 1 Select "FM" or "AM" from the menu, then press . 2 Select "Select Preset", then press . 3 Select the preset station you want, then press . Preset numbers from 1 to 30 are available. Naming preset stations (Name Input) 1 Select "FM" or "AM" from the menu, then press . 2 Select "Select Preset", then press . 3 Select the preset number which you want to name, press , then press OPTIONS. 4 Select "Name Input", then press . 5 Press V/v repeatedly to select a character, then press b. You can move the input position backward and forward by pressing B/b. You can enter a name up to 8 characters. 6 Repeat step 5 to input a character one by one, then press . The name you entered is registered. Receiving RDS broadcasts (Europe and Australia models only) This receiver allows you to use Radio Data System (RDS), which enables radio stations to send additional information along with the regular programming signal. This receiver offers convenient RDS features, such as Program Service name display. RDS is available only for FM stations.* * Not all FM stations provide RDS service, nor do they provide the same type of services.
