3 Turn the DATA wheel to set the input to IN B. 2-Quick Start Guides NOTE If the OL indicator continues to light even when the LEVEL knob is turned down, the mic signal itself is too loud. In this case, if the input setting is INT.MIC B-High, change it to INT.MIC B-Mid or INT.MIC B-Low. If the input setting is INT.MIC B-Mid, change it to INT. MIC B-Low. If the OL indicator continues to light even when set to INT.MIC B-Low, move the sound source away from the mic or lower the volume at the sound source. NOTE By default, INPUT B is set as the recording source for tracks 2 and 4, so you do not need to change the input if you want to record the vocal on track 4. 4 Press the HOME key to return to the Home Screen. 5 Press the TRACK 3 REC key. The key blinks showing that the track is in record standby. 6 Use the INPUT B channel LEVEL knob to adjust the mic input level. Set the LEVEL knob so that the INPUT B channel OL indicator does not light even when the loudest sound to be recorded is input. The input level of built-in MIC B is shown by the B meter on the screen. TASCAM DP-004 23
