Traffic information Traffic information You can obtain traffic information in two ways: • TomTom Traffic • Traffic Message Channel (TMC) Important: Reliable TMC Traffic reception is highly dependent upon optimal antenna placement, vehicle features such as windscreen reflective shielding, the surrounding environment such as mountains and high buildings and RDSTMC Radio station transmission signal strength. Some vehicles have a heat reflective shield embedded in the windscreen which might prevent a navigation device from locating your current position. If this is a problem in your vehicle, use the TomTom External Antenna Kit (available as an accessory).
