132 Advanced Disc Playback Playback information/VCD playback control To disable subtitles: Press the SUBTITLE button until Off appears. NOTE ❖ Not all DVDs have encoded subtitles. ❖ The subtitle selection may revert to the default language when you stop playback and try to play the DVD again. ❖ In some cases, the selected subtitle may not display immediately. Playback information/VCD playback control Viewing the playback info (DVD/VCD) Press the DISPLAY button during playback. DVD mode: (Sample Image) Viewing the playback info - DVD mode (Sample Image) Viewing the playback info - DVD mode VCD mode: (Sample Image) Viewing the playback info - VCD mode To close the information display, press the DISPLAY button until "Display Off" appears. NOTE Depending on the disc, this operation may not be available. Enabling the Playback Control (PBC) function (VCD) 1 In the stop mode, press the DVD MENU button to select the PBC ON/OFF.
