Removing the Hood Fan Motor and Humidity Sensor To remove the humidity sensor: 1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power. 2. Remove the outer cabinet (see page 4-10). 3. CAUTION: Discharge the high-voltage capacitor with a 20,000 Ohm resistor to chassis ground. IMPORTANT: When you work on the microwave oven, be careful when handling the sheet metal parts. Sharp edges may be present, and you can cut yourself if you are not careful. 1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power. 4. Remove the hood fan motor. (See left column) 5. Remove the 2 screws that secure the Humidity sensor to the unit. Disconnect the wire connector at P1 on the microcomputer board (see illustration on page 4-4). 2. Remove 2 screws from the top of the microwave oven that secure the cover plate to the outer cabinet. Lift the front of the cover plate and pull the tabs out of the slots at the back of the unit. parts. Sharp edges may be present, and you
can cut yourself if you are not careful.
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. Remove 2 screws from the top of the micro-
wave oven that secure the cover plate to the
outer cabinet.
Lift the front of the cover plate
and pull the tabs out of the slots at the back of
the unit.
3. Remove 2 screws from the back of the unit that
secure the hood fan motor assembly to the

To remove the hum±d±ty sensor:
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. Remove the outer cabinet (see page 4-10).
3. CAUTION:
Discharge the high-voltage ca-
pacitor with a 20,000 Ohm resistor to chassis
ground.
4. Remove the hood fan motor. (See left column)
5. Remove the 2 screws that secure the Humidity
sensor to the unit.
Disconnect the wire con-
nector at P1 on the microcomputer board (see
illustration on page 4-4).
