LSU Error or 0x5A The printer's front panel displays "Laser Failure". The LSU has been removed, reseated, and locked into place. Any obstructions, media, or debris has been removed from the paper path. Printer power has been cycled and the error still appears. Troubleshooting Reference Applicable Parts LSU Print Engine Controller Board Wiring and Plug/Jack Map References "Print Engine Interconnect Diagram" on page 10-2 Troubleshooting Procedure Steps Actions and Questions 1 Check that the laser connectors are properly seated. 2 Use the embedded diagnostics to check laser motor operation. Does the laser motor run? 3 Does error recur? Yes Go to Step 2. Go to Step 3. Replace Main Board. No Reseat the connectors. Replace LSU. Complete Error Messages and Codes 3-15
