TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Cause Remedy Dolby Digital or DTS sources cannot be played. (Dolby Digital or DTS indicator in the front panel display does not light up.) The connected component is not set to output Dolby Digital or DTS digital signals. "INPUT MODE" is set to "ANALOG". Make an appropriate setting following the operating instructions for your component. Set "INPUT MODE" to "AUTO" or "DTS". A humming sound is Incorrect cable connections. heard. Connect the audio cables firmly. If the problem persists, the cables may be defective. The volume level cannot be increased, or the sound is distorted. The component connected to the AUDIO OUT (REC) jacks of this unit is turned off. Turn on the power of the component. The sound effect cannot be recorded. It is not possible to record the sound effect with a recording component. A source cannot be recorded by an analog component connected to the AUDIO OUT (REC) jacks. Move this unit further away from such equipment. The picture is disturbed. The video source uses scrambled or encoded signals to prevent dubbing. This unit suddenly enters the standby mode. The internal temperature becomes too high and the overheat protection circuitry has been activated. Wait about 1 hour for this unit to cool down and then turn it back on.
