Local WAN Interface Select an interface from the drop-down list and its IP address will be shown. This is the WAN interface upon which PPTP VPN listens to a client's connection request. IP Address Pool Enter the pool of IP addresses that the Device uses to assign to the PPTP VPN clients. Access Group (Optional) Authentication Method Note: This is with a 24-bit netmask and should not conflict with any configured WAN, LAN, DMZ, WLAN, or L2TP VPN subnet even if they are not in use. Specify up to 2 LAN groups (subnets) which a PPTP VPN client is allowed to access. If none is specified, all LAN groups can be accessed. Enter the IP address and subnet mask for the LAN group(s). Select how the Device authenticates a remote user before allowing access to the PPTP VPN tunnel. The authentication method has the Device check a user's user name and password against the Device's local database, which is configured in the Maintenance > User Account screen.
