Trunk TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON If the doors are locked, press the trunk release switch on the trunk lid with the remote in keyless access operating range. To close the trunk, press down on the trunk lid. TRUNK RELEASE HANDLE You can open the trunk in any of four ways: Press the trunk release button on the driver's door. Press and hold the trunk release button on the remote. If the doors are unlocked, press the trunk release switch on the trunk lid. If your vehicle's battery goes dead or is disconnected, you can open the trunk from the rear seat by pulling the trunk release handle. Reach the handle through the trunk passthrough. Keep the trunk lid closed at all times while driving to avoid damaging the lid, and to prevent exhaust gas from getting into the interior. See Carbon Monoxide Hazard on page 56 . 154
