4-26 Instruments and Controls Immobilizer Light Fog Lamp Light Cruise Control Light The immobilizer light should come on briefly as the engine is started. If it does not come on have the vehicle serviced by your dealer/ retailer. If the system is working normally the indicator light will go off. This light comes on when the ignition is turned from OFF to ON and stays on if the vehicle is immobilized. This happens when an incorrect key or an unprogrammed key is used to start the vehicle. If the light stays on and the engine does not start, there could be a problem with the theft-deterrent system. See Immobilizer Operation on page 1-11 for more information. The fog lamp light comes on when the fog lamps are in use. The light goes out when the fog lamps are turned off. See Front Fog Lamps on page 5-5 for more information. This light is white when the cruise control is set and will be green when the system is active. The light goes out when the cruise control is turned off. See Cruise Control on page 8-38 for more information. Taillamp Indicator Light This light comes on when the taillamps are on.
