GENERAL INFORMATION 39 j Idle Adjusting/Choke Knob This vehicle is equipped with an idle adjusting/choke knob which operates as a choke knob in addition to the idle adjuster. Throttle Lever The throttle lever is located on the right side of the handlebars. Pushing the lever forward increases engine speed. When released, spring pressure returns the lever to the rear. Always check that the throttle lever returns normally before starting the engine. In addition, there must be adequate throttle cable play. Idle Adjusting/Choke Knob
This
vehicle
is
equipped
with
an
idle
adjust-
ing/choke knob which operates as a choke knob in
addition to the idle adjuster.
A. Idle Adjusting/Choke Knob

When starting in cold condition, refer to the Start-
ing the Engine section of the HOW TO RIDE chap-
ter.
For adjusting the engine idling speed, refer to the
MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT chapter.
Throttle Lever
The throttle lever is located on the right side of the
handlebars. Pushing the lever forward increases en-
gine speed. When released, spring pressure returns
the lever to the rear. Always check that the throttle
lever returns normally before starting the engine. In
addition, there must be adequate throttle cable play.
Refer to the MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT
chapter for the throttle cable adjustment procedure.
