Replace the oil filter element with a new one.
A. Oil Filter Element
B. Grommet
Apply oil to the grommet.
Install the oil filter element with the grommet to-
ward the oil filter cover.
NOTICE
Inside-Out installation stops oil flow, causing
engine seizure.
Install the oil filter cover with grease applied to a
new O-ring and tighten its bolts to the specified
torque.

9.8 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 87 in·lb)
After the oil has completely drained out, install the
drain plugs with their new gaskets. Proper torque
for them is shown in the table.

NOTE
