Controls in detail Driving and parking Automatic transmission With SmartKey X X Do not depress the accelerator pedal. Gasoline engine: Turn the SmartKey in the starter switch to position 3 (Y page 95) and release it. The engine starts automatically. Diesel engine: Turn the SmartKey in the starter switch to position 2 (Y page 95). Preglow indicator lamp q in the instrument cluster comes on. As soon as preglow indicator lamp q goes out, turn the SmartKey in the starter switch to position 3 and release it. The engine starts automatically.
