X Tire labeling Besides tire name (sales designation) and manufacturer name, a number of markings can be found on a tire. Following are some explanations for the markings on your vehicle's tires: Press button j or k on the multifunction steering wheel repeatedly until the following message appears in the multifunction display: Tire Pressure Monitor Active Menu: R-Button Press the reset button (Y page 143). The following message appears in the multifunction display: Restart tire pressure monitor? If you wish to confirm: Press button æ. The following message appears in the multifunction display: Tire Pressure Monitor Restarted After driving a few minutes the system verifies that the current tire inflation pressures are within the system's specified range. Afterwards, the current tire inflation If you wish to cancel: Press button ç. MOExtended system The MOExtended system allows you to continue driving your vehicle even if there is a total loss of pressure in one or more tires. You may only use the MOExtended system in conjunction with the Run Flat Indicator (Y page 262) or the TPMS (Y page 263). X X i Vehicles with MOExtended system are not factory-equipped with a TIREFIT kit. When retrofitting with tires that do not have run-flat characteristics, e.g. winter tires, you should also equip your vehicle with a TIREFIT kit. TIREFIT kits are available at any authorized Mercedes-Benz Center.
