If a malfunction occurs in the system, the antilock function of the brake will cease operation but the ordinary brakes will continue to operate. See "Anti-lock brake system (ABS)" in the "5. When the ignition switch is turned to the ON position, the anti-lock brake warning light will illuminate and then turn off. This indicates the anti-lock brake system (ABS) is operational.
