BRAKE When year brake fluid falls to a low level, your brake warning light will come on. See "Brake SystemWarning Light" in the Index. With the wrong kind fluid in your brake of system, your brakes may not work well, or they may not even work al This could cause a at l. crash. Always use the proper brake fluid. 1 What to Add NOTICE: Using the wrong fluid can badly damage brake system parts. For example, just afew drops of mineral-based oil, such as engine oil, in your brake system can damage brake system parts so badly thatthey'll have to be replaced. Don't let someone put the in wrong kind of fluid. If you spin brake fluid on your vehicle's painted surfaces, the paintfinish can be damaged. Be careful not to spill brake fluid on your vehicle. I you do, wash it off immediately. f See "Appearance Care" in the Index When you do need brake fluid, use only DOT-3 brake fluid -- such as Delco Supreme ll@ (GM Part No. 12377967).Use new brakefluid from a sealed container only.
