Home > Glossary Memory Receive Receives faxes into the machine's memory when the machine is out of paper. NetBIOS Name Resolution Network Basic Input/Output System (NetBIOS) name resolution enables you to obtain the IP address of the other device using its NetBIOS name during the network connection. Network Configuration Report The Network Configuration Report prints a report listing the current network configuration, including the network print server settings. Network Connection Repair Tool The Network Connection Repair Tool is a program Brother provides to correct the driver's settings so that they match the machine's network settings. To use the Network Connection Repair Tool, ask your network administrator. Network Key The Network Key is a password, which is used when the data is encrypted or decrypted. The Network Key is also described as the Password, Security Key, or Encryption Key. The table shows the number of characters of the key to use for each setting. Open system/Shared key with WEP This key is a 64-bit or a 128-bit value that must be entered in an ASCII or hexadecimal format. 64 (40) bit 128 (104) bit ASCII Uses five text characters. For example, "WSLAN" (case-sensitive). Uses 13 text characters. For example, "Wirelesscomms" (casesensitive). Hexadecimal Uses 10 digits of hexadecimal data. For example, "71f2234aba" (not casesensitive). Uses 26 digits of hexadecimal data. For example, "71f2234ab56cd709e5412aa2ba" (not casesensitive). WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK and TKIP or AES Uses a Pre-Shared Key (PSK) that is eight or more characters in length, up to a maximum of 63 characters. Network PC-FAX Use Network PC-FAX to send a file from your computer as a fax. Windows® users can also receive faxes via PCFAX. Network PhotoCapture Center Use Brother's Network PhotoCapture Center to view, retrieve and save data from a USB flash drive or a media card inserted into the Brother machine.
