Troubleshooting If the Machine Does Not Operate 7L3E-08L If a problem occurs while you are using the machine, check the following before contacting your dealer or service representative. Check This First(P. 440) If the machine does not respond to computer operations(P. 440) When the authentication screen (login screen) is displayed(P. 441) Check This First Is a message displayed on the screen? ● A message is displayed on the screen when an error or a problem occurs while operating the machine. A Message or a Number Starting with "#" (an Error Code) Is Displayed(P. 452) Is (Energy Saver) lit? ● If it is lit, press (Energy Saver) to cancel the Sleep mode. Is the machine connected to a computer correctly? ● Check the network connection of the machine and the computer. Setting up the Network Environment(P. 8) If the machine does not respond to computer operations Restart the machine. ● If the machine does not respond even though its power is turned ON, turn the power OFF ( Turning OFF the Machine(P. 62) ). Confirm that the power cord is connected correctly, wait 10 or more seconds after the main power is turned OFF, and then turn the power back ON ( Turning ON the Machine(P. 61) ). Check whether the driver is installed correctly. ● For information on installing the driver, see Installing Drivers(P. 44) . Check whether the IP address of the machine is correct. ● Check the IP address settings, and change them if they are incorrect. For information on the settings, see Setting up Using the Setup Guide(P. 6) . 440
