Receiving Faxes Follow this procedure to set the Fax/Tel Mode options: 1 Follow steps 1 to 9 (1 p. 8-3). RING START TIME Set 2 Press . Ex: 8SEC 3 Use the numeric buttons to enter the time the unit waits before ringing when it receives a call. • You can select from 0 to 30 seconds. • The default setting is eight seconds. Set 4 Press twice. Ex: 9SEC F/T RING TIME Ex: 15SEC 5 Use the numeric buttons to enter the time the unit rings while waiting for someone to pick up the extension phone. • You can select from 10 to 45 seconds. • The default setting is 15 seconds. Set 6 Press twice. 08 02 7 Use or to select RECEIVE or DISCONNECT. • This setting tells the unit what to do if no one picks up the extension phone within the specified ring time set in step 5. • Select RECEIVE to receive the call, or DISCONNECT to disconnect the call. • The default setting is RECEIVE.
