Choosing a Location for the MultiPASS Before unpacking your MultiPASS, read the guidelines in Important Safety Instructions (1 p. 1-7) to make sure you choose a location best suited for the MultiPASS. Dimensions Make sure the location you choose provides enough space around the MultiPASS for adequate ventilation, and to allow paper to flow freely into and out of the unit. Install the MultiPASS approximately 4 inches (10 cm) away from walls and other equipment. For the dimensions of the MultiPASS, (1 p. A-2). Unpacking the MultiPASS Follow the directions below to unpack the MultiPASS properly, and to make sure you have all its components and documentation. n When lifting the MultiPASS out of the box, or when you need to move it, lift it from the bottom and hold it firmly and level. Do You Have Everything? As you unpack the MultiPASS, save the carton and packing material in case you want to move or ship the unit in the future. Carefully remove all items from the box. You should have someone help by holding the box while you lift the MultiPASS and its protective packaging out of the box.
