174 Connecting to a TV Shooting/Playback Using a TV You can use the supplied AV cable to shoot or playback images using a TV. 1 Turn off the camera and the TV. 2 Connect the AV cable to the camera's A/V OUT and DIGITAL terminal. • Hook your fingernail or the wrist strap toggle under the bottom edge of the camera's terminal cover to open it, then insert the AV cable all the way into the connector. 3 Plug the other ends of the AV cable to the VIDEO IN and AUDIO IN jacks on the TV. VIDEO Yellow AUDIO Black 4 Turn on the TV and switch it to video mode. 5 Turn on the camera. z The video output signal can be switched (NTSC or PAL) to accommodate different regional standards (p. 54). The default setting varies between regions. - NTSC: Japan, U.S.A., Canada, Taiwan and others - PAL: Europe, Asia (excluding Taiwan), Oceania and others z If the video system is set incorrectly, the camera output may not display properly.

Turn off the camera and the TV.

camera’s A/V OUT and
DIGITAL terminal.
Hook your fingernail or the wrist
