24 Basic Functions Turning the Power On / Off Press and hold the main switch until the green indicator blinks. • The lens will extend when the mode switch is set to . • The lens will retract approximately 1 minute after the mode switch is set to from . • The LCD monitor will turn on regardless of its On/Off status when the mode switch is set to . Press the main switch again to turn off the power. • The Set Date/Time menu will appear the first time the camera is turned on. Please set the date and time (p. 22). • If the auto power down function activates, press the main switch again to restore power. Auto Power Down Function The camera is equipped with an auto power down function (p. 81). It will power down when the auto power down function is set to On under the following circumstances. • Shooting: shuts down approximately 3 minutes after the last action. • Replaying: shuts down approximately 5 minutes after the last action (excluding auto replay mode). • Connected to Card Photo Printer CP-10 (optional): shuts down approximately 5 minutes after the last action involving the camera or printer. • Connected to a computer: (auto power down always active) a warning message displays on the computer approximately 5 minutes after the last action and the camera shuts down after an additional 1 minute without action.
