View Recorded Video Zoom the Viewing Area In and Out You can zoom the video window in and out in four levels. 1 On the toolbar, click [+] next to [Zoom]. Each click zooms further in on the viewing area. 3 Specify the region you want to zoom by clicking or dragging in the Viewer PTZ panel. A preview frame (yellow) appears around the specified region, and the video within the frame is zoomed in and displayed in the video window. When the video is displayed zoomed in, a zoom icon appears in the bottom right corner of the video window. 6 Day-to-Day Operations 2 Click [-] to zoom out. Each click zooms further out of the viewing area. Important The quality of the video in the video window decreases when you zoom in. To increase the video quality, increase the resolution (p. 67). Note • Select [Actual Size] from the [View] menu to return the view to the actual size. • You cannot zoom out further than the actual size. Zoom a Region of the Video (Viewer PTZ) You can zoom a region of the camera video in the video window using Viewer PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom). When the camera is fixed in position, you can use this function to control PTZ in the viewer to zoom in on a region of the video. This function is available for live video and for recorded video during playback. „ Start Viewer PTZ 1 Click [Viewer PTZ] on the toolbar or on the camera control panel. The Viewer PTZ panel appears. 2 Click the video window in which to use Viewer PTZ. A white frame appears around the selected video window. 4 If also using Viewer PTZ in other video windows, repeat steps 2 and 3 for each window. Note • Viewer PTZ uses the digital zoom function, hence the quality of the video decreases as the zoom ratio increases. • Saving a snapshot image of the recorded video saves a snapshot of the whole video, not the zoomed in region. • Viewer PTZ can be used in up to five video windows simultaneously. Using Viewer PTZ in additional windows after reaching this limit will cause Viewer PTZ to be released from other windows in sequence from oldest to most recent, according to the PTZ history. „ Change the Size of the Preview Frame You can change the size of the preview frame by dragging the preview frame lines. Note The preview frame has the same aspect ratio as the selected video window. „ Move the Preview Frame You can move the preview frame to any position within the video window. Move by dragging Click within the preview frame and then drag the frame, placing it over the subject you want to display zoomed in. Move by clicking Click outside the preview frame, on the subject you wish to display zoomed in, to move the center of the frame to that position. 103

Zoom the Viewing Area In and Out
You can zoom the video window in and out in four levels.
Each click zooms further in on the viewing area.
Each click zooms further out of the viewing area.
Note
Select [Actual Size] from the [View] menu to return the view to
the actual size.
You cannot zoom out further than the actual size.
Zoom a Region of the Video (Viewer PTZ)
You can zoom a region of the camera video in the video
window using Viewer PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom).
When the camera is fixed in position, you can use this
function to control PTZ in the viewer to zoom in on a region
of the video.
This function is available for live video and for recorded
