Introduction 1 System Configuration Example This software records video from cameras using an IP network, such as a LAN. Important • The load on the Storage Server may increase depending on the number of cameras connected and the recording settings. See "Determining the Capacity of the Storage Server" (p. 25) to consider your configuration. • Accessing one camera or Storage Server from many Viewers at the same time may affect system performance. • Regularly check that the time setting is correct on the computers that are running the Storage Server and the Viewer. Also, before changing the time setting on the computers, be sure to first stop the Storage Server and Viewer. See "Stopping the Storage Server" (p. 119) for details about how to stop the Storage Server. Configuration Example 1: Storage Server and Viewer Installed on One Computer
This example shows the simplest system configuration, where the Storage Server and Viewer are installed on one computer.
Video from the cameras is displayed or recorded using the same computer.
