Custom File Name Settings Specify the method in which file names used for saving scanned images are created. those in the "Custom File Name Settings" (see p. 82) under User Administration. Index Settings Specify whether to attach metadata (index files) to scanned images. • File name Specify a name for the image file to be sent. • When you select this Job Button Specify whether the file name entry screen appears when you start scanning with the job button. • Add Date to File name The scanner adds 17 digits that indicate the date and time to the file name of the image to be sent. Ex.) May 14, 2016, 3:40:30 p.m. yyyymmdd: File name + 20160514154030123 mmddyyyy: File name + 05142016154030123 ddmmyyyy: File name + 14052016154030123 * The last three digits indicate the number of milliseconds. You can select [Custom] to configure additional file name settings. The additional settings are identical to • Send index file Select [ON] to send index files. Index files are created according to the "Index Settings" (see p. 84) configured under User Administration. • When you select this Job Button Specify whether the index string entry screen appears when you start scanning with the job button.
