For more information about these features and about Cisco Unified Communications Manager and conference station security, refer to Cisco Unified Communications Manager Security Guide. For information about current security settings on a conference station, look at the security configuration menus on the conference station (choose Applications > Settings > Security Configuration and choose Applications > Settings > Device Configuration > Security Configuration). For more information, see Chapter 4, "Configuring Settings on the Conference Station." Table 1-3 Overview of Security Features Feature Security profiles 802.1X Authentication for conference stations Optional disabling of the web server functionality for a conference station Conference station hardening Description Always defines the conference station as nonsecure. See Understanding Security Profiles, page 1-9 for more information. The conference station can use 802.1X authentication to request and gain access to the network. You can prevent access to a conference station's web page which displays a variety of operational statistics for the conference station. Additional security options, which you control from Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration: • Disabling Gratuitous ARP (GARP). • Disabling or restricting access to the Settings menu. If you restrict access, users can only access the User Preferences menu from the Settings menu. • Disabling access to web pages for a conference station. • Disabling SSH access to the conference station.
