Selecting a Country-Specific Modem Configuration The internal modem is configured to meet operating approval in the country where you purchased your computer. To set the modem to comply with telecommunications standards and regulations in other countries, you must change the country selection setting. To confirm that the modem has been approved for use by the telecommunications agency in the desired country, check the modem agency approvals label on the bottom of the computer. Or, for the most up-to-date approval information, refer to the Compaq website at http://www.compaq.com.
