Using Quick Controls When a power-on password is set, the following Quick Controls are available: s QuickLock-Disables the keyboard and pointing device. (In Compaq Computer Security this option is called Enable QuickLock of the Keyboard.) s QuickLock on Suspend-Sets the computer to initiate QuickLock whenever the computer enters Suspend (Standby). (In Compaq Computer Security this option is called QuickLock on Standby.) s Lock keyboard and mouse at power-on-Sets the computer to initiate QuickLock each time the computer is turned on or restarted. (In Compaq Computer Security this option is called Enable QuickLock at System Startup.) s QuickBlank-Clears the screen whenever QuickLock initiates. (In Compaq Computer Security this option is called QuickBlank the Screen When Locked.) NOTE: Quick Controls cannot be used on an external keyboard connected through a USB connector. Setting Quick Controls Quick Controls s Can be set in Computer Setup in all operating systems. s Can be set in Compaq Computer Security only in Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0. s Cannot be set in Compaq Computer Security if a USB keyboard has ever been connected to the computer.
