Selecting Drive Locations The computer has three bays for drives. s The hard drive bay supports only a hard drive. The hard drive in the hard drive bay is the primary hard drive. s The MultiBay supports any 12.7 mm drive, such as a diskette drive, SuperDisk LS-120 drive, CD-ROM drive, DVD-ROM drive, or a second hard drive. An Armada MultiBay hard drive adapter is required to use a hard drive in the MultiBay. s The external diskette drive bay supports only a diskette drive (not a SuperDisk LS-120 drive). NOTE: When a hard drive in the hard drive bay is being accessed, the hard drive light turns on. When a drive in the MultiBay or a diskette drive in the external diskette drive bay is being accessed, the MultiBay drive light turns on. MultiBay Weight Saver When no device is needed in the computer MultiBay, you can insert the weight saver to reduce computer weight and cover the MultiBay opening. The weight saver can be inserted or removed while the computer is on, off, in Hibernation, or in Suspend. 5-2 Using Drives

The computer has three bays for drives.
The hard drive bay supports only a hard drive. The hard drive
in the hard drive bay is the
primary
hard drive.
The MultiBay supports any 12.7 mm drive, such as a diskette
drive, SuperDisk LS-120 drive, CD-ROM drive, DVD-ROM
drive, or a second hard drive. An Armada MultiBay hard
drive adapter is required to use a hard drive in the MultiBay.
The external diskette drive bay supports only a diskette drive
(not a SuperDisk LS-120 drive).
NOTE:
When a hard drive in the hard drive bay is being accessed,
the hard drive light turns on. When a drive in the MultiBay or a
diskette drive in the external diskette drive bay is being accessed,
the MultiBay drive light turns on.
MultiBay Weight Saver
